WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

We take utmost care in the manufacturing processes of our products to ensure that we deliver what we promise. It is therefore mandatory that the product be handled and installed by a PROTEQ certified/trained installer to get the best results from our Paint Protection Films.

If it turns out that the product is defective, PROTEQ commit themselves to replace the respective product free of charge. The product will be, at the discretion of the purchaser, delivered, either to the purchaser or to an installer whose contact address will be communicated to us.

1. ELIGIBILITY CONDITION:

This warranty applies to any individual purchaser’s personal vehicle on which the PROTEQ Paint Protection Film is installed. To be valid, the warranty requires that the vehicle carries Proteq Warranty Seal along with the date of installation. The film must be installed by a professional (certified/trained by Proteq, or any other Brand’s traceable certification).

Any installation carried out by a private individual will not be covered by this warranty. The installation must be performed on the original paint and the purchaser must follow the maintenance requirements given for Proteq Paint Protection Film. This warranty is not transferable. Warranty coverage is only applicable to the original purchaser of the product. This warranty coverage definitely ends in case of selling or processing (accident repair/repaint/dismantling of body panels for repairs) of the vehicle.

2. WHAT IS NOT WARRANTED:

The blemishes of the installed film are not taken into account in this warranty. Only the PROTEQ film installer is responsible for the aspect of the product once installed. If, before installation, the professional notes a visual defect in the film or adhesive, it is his responsibility not to install it. The installation by a private individual is excluded from this warranty.

Within the scope of this warranty, PROTEQ do not warrant the following parameters: a) the film installation or removal duration; b) the substrate and the possible damages which it could have undergone; c) the substrate recovery; d) any lifting of the film occurred within the 14 days following the installation, due to vehicle cleaning carried out with any kind of detergent; e) scratches and all type of damages caused to the film after having been cleaned in a car wash.

3. GENERAL LIMITATIONS:

The PROTEQ warranty applies to PROTEQ products used by professionals only. In no case, this warranty can apply to an installation carried out by a private individual. The film must imperatively be cleaned with any pH neutral cleaning products at least every three months. Climatic effects and the degradation of materials is a natural and unavoidable phenomenon. A slight and progressive modification of the transparency and brightness, as well as a slight peeling off at the edges and around the rivets are normal phenomenon which do not fall within the scope of this warranty.

In the case of usage that is not in accordance with the specifications as required in the After Care guidelines and maintenance requirements, it is the responsibility of the installer to determine the compatibility between the Proteq product and the application, and the risks and/or obligations related with this application. In no case, the end user can address to PROTEQ, under no circumstances, a claim or compensation request within the scope of this warranty.

4. COVERAGE LIMITATIONS:

This warranty does not cover any and all liabilities for any loss, damage, expense or cost, resulting to product from any one or more of the following:

• Self healing layer of the Paint Protect Film is not warranted.
• By accident, misuse and unapproved application.
• As a result of poor installation quality.
• General wear and tear.
• By heavy impact from external source.
• Cleaning abuse and improper maintenance or failure to follow care instructions.
• Damage from strong solvents or manually peeling up product or manually scratching of the product.
• Coated surfaces like ceramic, teflon, wax etc.
• Product applied on repainted vehicles.
• Installation carried out by other than authorized installers.
• The degradation of materials with time due to climate conditions is a natural and unavoidable phenomenon.
• The product’s self-healing layer and its properties are dependent on proper maintenance, frequent washing and constant wiping, and do not fall within the scope of this warranty.
• A slight and progressive change of the transparency and brightness, as well as a slight peeling off at the edges and around the tucked areas are normal phenomenon, which do not fall within the scope of this warranty.

All and any claims subject to warranty will be at the discretion of Proteq Auto Care, and will be actioned after a thorough examination and/or investigation, on a case-to-case basis. The final decision lies with the company.
